The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay ranges listed below. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
For candidates living in Boston, MA, Denver, CO, New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, Sacramento, CA, San Diego, CA, and Washington, DC, the pay range is $86,600 – $100,700.
For candidates living in the United States, besides Boston, MA, Denver, CO, New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, Sacramento, CA, San Diego, CA, and Washington, DC, the pay range is $73,400 – $85,350.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a US-based role that requires the employee to reside within the 48 contiguous states.
APHL Informatics collaborates with partners across the nation’s public health network to identify needs and develop innovative solutions to improve public health data exchange and decision-making. Informatics programs and projects may focus on a specific disease area, such as antimicrobial resistance; a specific service, such as transforming and translating data per national standards; or on a specific reporting mechanism, such as electronic test order and results (ETOR), electronic laboratory reporting (ELR), or electronic case reporting (eCR). Projects can cover a range of products and services in support of data exchange, including discovery; solution development; technical assistance to public health laboratory, epidemiology, clinical or commercial partners; application of national technical and vocabulary standards; and electronic message validation, transformation, translation and routing.
The Senior Specialist, Informatics Project Manager provides project management, specialized technical expertise, business analysis, and coordination support for APHL Informatics projects. The successful applicant will bring the skills and aptitude necessary to execute projects in close coordination with program leadership, staff, consultants, and funders.
The Senior Specialist, Informatics Project Manager reports to the Lead Specialist, Informatics under the overall supervision of the Director of Informatics.
At this time, this position is funded through June 30, 2026 and is dependent upon continued availability of funds.
